Susie and I are the Atomic Blondes, this is mostly an oxymoron as neither of us - well I'm not - particularly atomic nor are we very blonde, however it's the kind of humour that's going to spur us on when the going gets tough in this half marathon - that's 21k's - and that's the important thing. Just to be clear, Mo Farah has completed the marathon in a quicker time than I will do half the distance.

This is a charity both of us hold dear. We wanted to give ourselves a challenge whilst raising much needed funds for this incredible charity. Parkinson's is a complicated disease and affects everyone differently, therefore it is vital that sufferers have access to the support and nurses that Parkinson's UK provides.

Susie's goal is to do this race in under 2 hours, mine is to get over the line in one piece. However, we have been training hard and have enjoyed the beautiful countryside on our runs. We count ourselves very lucky.
