Story
I've just checked the route for day one, and to be fair there was probably a time in my distant past where the inclines and the distance wouldn't have been a problem, if you check out the route at http://www.memorialchallenge.org.uk then you'll see what i mean, and it looks worse on an OS map. I've started training, my 10 miles a day to and from work are paying off, I can make it past the 5th floor using the stairs without feeling my legs complain to excess. Enough about me, this is for CLIC Sargent, if you need a reason to sponsor me check out their website, and if you still need a reason then i'll find a copy of the video we got from them, showing us where our hard earning sponsorship will be going. It's hayfever inducing stuff!
The 'walk' we're doing is 24 peaks in 24 hours, in the lake district, home of the highest peak in england. In the UK anything over 600m is technically a mountain, so every peak we hit is a mountain...
24 Mountains in 24 hours, now that sounds better, and it also gives you some idea of the challenge ahead of us. The 5:40am start to our walk should be reason enough to sponsor me.
have i mentioned I need your support and your cash, in the misquoted words of Sir Bob, Just give me your ---- money.
