Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I am taking on the world's highest and arguably most challenging marathon (EverestMarathon.com) in memory of Tom Comfort who passed away aged 21. I shared a childhood with Tom and I'm sure he would approve of such a silly adventure!

I am raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research and I would be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. Tom's family have a specific fund to support research into congenital heart conditions. It is hoped that this effort will in some way support BHF in their fight against heart disease.

I will be sharing some periodic updates via this page and via social media using #AWEverest. For those interested in my training you can also get some insights here: www.strava.com/athletes/AlexWarner.

Every pound goes directly to BHF so please give what you can to help. Thanks! Alex
