Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Aylesford Unit is a high quality and rapidly expanding cancer service providing swift diagnosis and treatment services for most cancers including blood cancers.  There established teams work with each patient to ensure they receive the most appropriate and timely treatment for their condition.  They aim to deliver excellent cancer care to our patients and carers.

The Aylesford Unit is a state-of-the-art, purpose-built Ambulatory Cancer Unit.  It provides day case and outpatient treatment facilities for many patients with a diagnosis or suspected diagnosis of cancer.  Additionally, it houses a dedicated information centre for patients, carers and staff.

There Macmillan Information and Support Centre aims to improve the quality of life for people affected by cancer.  They provide information and support to cancer patients, families, friends, carers and hospital staff.

£10 would purchase magazines, DVD's and CD's to help make patients treatment more comfortable in the unit.

£50 would buy a thermometer which is a vital piece of equipment.

£100 would be put towards purchasing a larger piece of equipment such as a blood pressure monitor which costs £1,500 for each one. They currently have a limited number in the unit but by purchasing more it makes it easier to monitor all patients blood pressure, pules and oxygen levels.

If we could get any were near the £1,500 for the unit to be able to buy an extra monitor would be great.
