On Sunday 19th July, my wife Saboura & I will be running and walking 10 kilometres at “Partnership Walk & Run 2009” to be held at Regent’s Park, London (http://www.partnershipsinaction.org.uk/ ).

By this we will be raising sponsorship monies for the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) and will be taking steps to build a brighter future for disadvantaged communities in developing countries.

AKF is a non-denominational, international development agency to develop and promote creative solutions to problems that impede social development, primarily in Asia and East Africa.

In every undertaking, the AKF’s overriding goal is to assist in the struggle against hunger, disease, illiteracy, ignorance and social exclusion. Within this ethos, AKF focuses on five major areas: rural development, health, education, civil society and the environment (www.akdn.org/akf).
