Just before Christmas 2014 I was diagnosed with breast cancer; not such a great Christmas present. However, thanks to charities like Cancer Research, cancer doesn't need to be a death sentence for me - and hopefully one day it won't be for anyone.

I have become one of those people who lives with cancer; lots of us are. But we're not sitting on our laurels; oh no! We're fundraising! 

All 20 of us pledge to run, walk, crawl, slide, dance and laugh our way through 5K of muddy obstacles and puddles in the attempt of reaching our fundraising target of £3000 for Cancer Research UK. 

Our initial target was £2000 but we've already smashed that - so we've upped it to £3000! We're really thrilled to have raised so much but we KNOW we can hit our new target; even a single, solitary quid will make a difference.

Each of us will train in our own special ways, some of us by running miles and miles, some of us by thinking about running miles and miles. We assure you that with each step or thought we take our target won't be far from our minds.
