This charity is very close to my heart having lost my Dad to Leukaemia in 2002. Since then I have completed a few events to raise money (which many of you out there very kindly sponsored me for) - including some dressed as my alter ego – Bananaman. Now there are two of us (Bananaman 2; aka Ste Bell), we are looking to both raise the profile of this charity and raise some much needed funding to help support the fantastic work they do. The charity was started in 1960 following the death of a little girl, Susan Eastwood, aged 6, from leukaemia. Her parents were determined to make something positive come out of their personal tragedy and started fundraising for research that would find a cure for leukaemia. Since then, the charity (which receives no government funding) has grown incredibly thanks to thousands of supporters across the . 50 years on, more and more people are surviving blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. We really appreciate your support and any sponsorship you can spare will be very gratefully received.
