This weekend I am going to be swimming 12 kms in the Lake Disrict.  A number of us including my brother in law, will be swimming across lakes such as Windermere, Buttermere,Crummockwater, Wast Water and Coniston as well as a few others.  We will be walking up and over the hills between each lake, completing the 12kms in two days. 

I am hoping to raise £1,000 for the Fairtrade Foundation, whose aim is to help farmers in developing countries to raise themselves out of poverty through their own hard work and to encourage sustainable development in the poorer parts of the world.
