British Airways takes on the three peaks for Haller · 13 April 2013

Haller works with nature to regenerate ecosystems and build thriving communities. In Kenya we equip subsistence farmers living on dry, eroded land with the knowledge to harvest water, rehabilitate the soil and farm sustainably so they can become self-sufficient and generate a livelihood.

Story

We did it!  We climbed the three highest peaks in Britain!  It's been the toughest challenge of our lives. We battled injuries and illness to get there but we did it and we completed it as a team!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far.  We have now done the challenge but still need your support to raise more money for our charity, Haller.

We climbed three mountains, in three different countries, through the day and night, in order to raise £6,000 for Haller.  This money goes directly to a community in Kenya to build a rain-fed dam.  The dam will change the lives of that community forever and we're excited to be a part of that.

Rain-fed dams enable communities to capture and retain rainwater, which would otherwise be lost.  Haller teaches communities how to use this water to rehabilitate their land, and improve their food production.

Haller is an inspiration charity which works with communities in Kenya, addressing basic needs through an integrated set of programmes in water, farming, education, health, alternative energy and nano-enterprise. Haller’s community partnerships are not quick fixes, rather they offer long term, life-skills training which empower farmers and their children to lead self-sufficient and sustainable lives.

We're inspired by the incredible work that Haller are doing and we hope that you are too. So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you,

Alex, Anthony, Chris, Ed, Kate, Phil and Rob
