Bavan tragically passed away due to a sudden cardiac event with no prior symptoms at the age of 38. Bavan always had a passion for learning and in the year before his passing, this passion was most evident through the interest Bavan took in the development of his baby nephew, Aishan – and through the many plans he was making for Aishan’s education and future.

Aishan is lucky and well taken care of, but there are many children in Australia who do not have access to the same opportunities. We ask that friends and family help us honour Bavan’s memory and his passion by giving to the Smith Family Learning 4 Life Program (https://www.thesmithfamily.com.au/programs/learning-for-life) which provides access to numerous education support programmes to benefit disadvantaged children in Australia.
