4 months ago the NHS gave up on me, they 'ran out of treatment' and refused to pay for a breakthrough drug. As a last resort my friends and family began fundraising to help save my life. They say there's no price on life, but clearly in my case there is. Immunotherapy offers a 70-80% response rate for the genetic make up of my cancer, yet it is extremely costly and my only way of getting it was through fundraising.

Due to the love and support of so many people, many of whom I don't know, I was able to start treatment and after just 4 doses of the drug within a 12 week period, all my tumours have shrunk. It is a miracle, and I am truly grateful and humbled to share this news. One tumour shrunk by 68%, one by 29%, and a couple by 40%. Thank you.

We've made amazing progress, but still have a long way to go.

My story proves that we can still keep hope even when the odds are very slim, that we can still fight another day, that together humanity can achieve amazing results.

I still have a way to go to reach my target, but my goals are no longer just about me. Unfortunately, there are others in a similar situation; where potentially life saving drugs are out there, but are denied due to costs.

I want to start a non profit organisation that helps patients and families to navigate this huge challenge; not just financially but psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. 

I'd like my story to be used to help change the way we talk about, think about and treat cancer, to ultimately take away the fear from a deadly diagnosis.
The statistics are alarming, 1 in 2 people according to Cancer Research UK will get cancer in the UK.
