For over a week, a large part of Sylhet region has been flooded as rivers have swollen over the safe level due to heavy rainfall.

Hundreds of villages were inundated in Moulivbazaar, Kanaighat, Zakiganj, Gowainghat and Jaintiapur of greater Sylhet region.

About 5,500 families were affected by the flash flooding on
Wednesday and the situation continued to worsen yesterday.

• £50 will deliver emergency family food packs to flood affected people in the region which will contains Rice, Flour, Oil, Spices, Lentils, Salt, Onion, Water Purification Tablets etc.
• £100 will provide clean water and emergency medical aid for 50 people e.g. Oral re-hydration salts and zinc tablets for the treatment of diarrhea. Water Sanitation – Purification Chlorine tablets etc.
• £250 will deliver emergency food packs to 5 families.
• £1000 will help us build a brand new home for a family who’s house has been swept away.
