Story
We are delighted to say that we came through our ordeal relativley unscathed. We avoided getting hyperthermia, capsizing, punctures, crashes and cramp to finish in just under 5 hours. Given the wind, sleet and tide we were more than a little surprised by our time. More importantly we were astonsihed by all the people that braved the weather to support the event and of course everyone who has been kind enough to donate to one of the charites that we competed for. There are a couple of photos in the gallery on this page to show we were really there, but others available on request! So........
Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page for Home-Start. You can find out more about Home-Start and how to become a volunteer by visiting http://www.home-start.org.uk/volunteer/volunteer
Neither of us is really sure how we ended up agreeing to compete together. Although it is billed as a friendly bit of fun the Norfolk Superhero Challenge is actually an extraordinarily gruelling event and while we were able to encourage / scream at each other the fact that Home-Start is going to benefit from our pain was much more motivating. We are hoping that any money donated to Home-Start will be directed to the Swaffham and District branch which provides support for families in Norfolk. Thank you for your support.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s a very efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
With thanks
