Story

What an honour to be given another chance to represent Meningitis Research Foundation at the London Marathon this year. I first ran the marathon in 2017 and loved it so much, I signed up to do it all over again last year, but unfortunately had to defer my place (doctors orders) so, I guess this could be called "A second attempt at a second attempt"!

I’m running once more for MRF because both of my nephews were diagnosed with Meningitis within their first few days in the world. Sadly my eldest Nephew, Freddy, passed away from complications when he was just 10 months old. Then, about a year later Harris was born and we heard the unbelievable news that he had contracted it too. But he pulled through and is now an awesome bundle of toddler chaos!

So I am running in memory of Freddy, who lost his battle. And in celebration of Harris, who won his.

Here’s to more of those Positive life ripples, travelling ever outwards…

For Freddy and Harris, always. x
