As many of you know I am occasionally prone to do things which on the surface seem totally mad (bungee jumping, running a half marathon, riding my horse bareback (actually just riding a horse!) and continuing to work in intensive care in the NHS!  However joking aside this is one occasion when I think I am doing a great thing - raising money for research into critical care.  I am doing this with a great team.   I have never climbed a mountain before and am really looking forward to the challenge. 

The Intensive Care Society is the representative body in the UK for intensive care professionals and patients.  The Society is dedicated to the delivery of the highest quality of critical care to patients within the UK.  The Society awards grants, produces standards and guidelines  The Intensive Care Foundation organises fund raising events to support research into improving the standard of critical care.
