Bedford Row - Stroke for Stroke week · 3 October 2008

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for visiting this fundraising page.

Stroke for Stroke week is a fund raising initiative in support of the Stroke Association sponsored by Siemens who are also sponsors of GB Rowing.

7 Bedford Row will be hosting an indoor rowing event on Wednesday 29 October from 5pm to 8pm with 20 rowing machines provided by London Youth Rowing (we have agreed payment of £150 for each pair of machines as a contribution to the charitable work London Youth Rowing do with young people in London).

This challenge has been set down for Bedford Row and other neighbours to compete in, Chambers and Solicitors alike.

We will be able to allocate 2 rowing machines to each Chambers and Solicitors firm that wishes to participate – the challenge we offer is to see who can cover the most kilometres and who can raise the most funds.  Everyone will have 6 hours in which to organise the maximum ‘utilisation’ (a term lawyers are familiar with) of the machines!

We are involving staff and members of chambers in rowing and fund raising and hope you will wish to do the same.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Stroke Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please dig deep and give generously to a very worthy cause.

Thank You.
