Story
I’m so happy to announce that I’ve been selected to run for the Cornwall Air Ambulance at the London Marathon 2021!
Having grown up in Cornwall, the Air Ambulance has been of huge importance to myself and my family which we are still so grateful for, so getting the opportunity to run and raise money to support them again makes me so honoured.
As a result of Covid-19, the Cornwall Air Ambulance is set to lose £1.5m by the end of this year due to the closure of their charity shops, community fundraising and lack of tourism. This is very saddening to hear considering how important this service is to the county and in doing my best to support this, it’s my goal to raise £2,500 by running (gulp!) 26.2 miles in the London Marathon next year.
This will also be my first ever Marathon too which makes it even more exciting. As most of you know, the last big run I did was in 2016 at the Hackney Half Marathon and since then, I have only started to run again when lockdown began and have now racked up 412 miles and counting.
Let the training regime continue… expect further updates down the line!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated!
This one is for you Dad especially, I love and miss you so much!
