Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you are no doubt aware, exercise (especially the endurance kind) has never exactly been one of my favoured past times. In fact, over the last 10 years or so, the majority of my spare time has been spent eating, drinking and generally searching for ways to be merry. So why, I hear you gasp, have I decided to take on the challenge to cycle for more than 62 miles (!!!) through London at night? Well the answer is both simple and three-fold:
- 1) To raise as much money as possible for JBD (an organisation that provides caring, assisted living accommodation for people of all ages with physical disabilities), a charity I believe to be an extremely worthwhile cause!
- 2) I thought this challenge would be a fun and interesting way to see one of my favourite cities at night
- 3) I thought that if I can actually do some proper training I may finally lose a bit of weight.
Now, unless you are my wife (who seems strangely obsessed with my training schedule) I know that points 2 & 3 may not exactly inspire you to dig deep. So please focus on my first point and give what you can… all donations will be sincerely appreciated.
