Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. On 27th September 2008 I will combining my love of our ape brethren with my love of cumbersome fake fur and will be taking part in the Great Gorilla Run 2008 (see www.greatgorillas.org/london ).
This is a sponsored run (yes, those who know me and question my athletic prowess, that is the word "run") over 7K in central London dressed as a gorilla to raise money to protect the real thing in Africa.
I need to raise at least £400, which seems a lot until you think that's a tenner from forty people. That is easily doable. Remember it all goes to helping my fourth favourite ape genus (for those who need to be told, first and second place go respectively to pan (in particular paniscus) and pongo; although these are only real ape species and I've discounted anything from Planet of the Apes). Oh yeah and please remember to do the Gift Aid thing, in a choice between the government and a gorilla I know where I would want my money to go.
