Abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower · 23 June 2019

Portsmouth Hospitals Charity supports the work of Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust to help enhance patient care and support staff welfare. Funding a range of projects including improving existing facilities, purchasing new & equipment, staff training & research & innovation.

Story

Our son Thomas was born 14 weeks premature at Queen Alexandra Hospital.  We were so lucky that the NICU there is one of the best around and the tireless care from the amazing staff undoubtedly saved Thomas’ life.

So much of the vital equipment is sourced from donations!  It seems wrong but it is the way it is now. I’m trying to do my bit to raise some money for the equipment fund so that babies like Thomas get the best chance we can give them.

The Spinnaker Tower by the way is over 100m tall and sits above the shark infested waters of Portsmouth Harbour.
