We support vulnerable children to have the skills to change their futures.

Story

We are the youth members of Bromley Syro Malabar Mass Centre. We plan to do one day trekking mainly for a challenging activity and also for a good cause. As part of this challenge, we plan to raise funds for a charity - HOPEHIV, to  support young people in sub-Saharan Africa who have been orphaned or affected by HIV/AIDS.  We believe that we have the potential to make a change in their families, communities to create a better future. Please support us by making a small donation to our team fundraising-many thanks!

  • Currently there are approximately 14.8 million children who have lost their parents to the consequences of HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa.

  • Every day, 5,000 children lose a parent because of HIV/AIDS.

  • In South Africa alone there are estimated to be over 160,000 child-headed households.

  • It is estimated that 300,000 z000 of them in Nairobi.
