BHBN provides a dedicated 24/7 broadcasting service to patients and medical staff in NHS hospitals across Birmingham, UK. The station was founded in 1952 by Hon. Alderman Mrs Freda Cocks OBE. BHBN plays a variety of regular patient request, music and speciality shows, as well as providing sports commentaries from Aston Villa, Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion home football matches and Warwickshire County Cricket Club home cricket fixtures from Edgbaston.
