Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my amazing JustGiving page.
I don't know why people think that running is good for you. It's flipping hard work, and you end up sweaty, tired, and with badly messed up hair.
But I do it anyway.
I ran the Birmingham Half Marathon last year and it was a lot of fun. This year the event was supposed to be bigger, but what with the recession on and all that may actually not be. But what the heck. Last year my time was 2.02.20, so if I finish faster then it's been a success. This year I am raising money for the Albert Kennedy Trust.
The Albert Kennedy Trust work with young homeless LGBT people between the ages of 16-25. They provide mentoring, support and shelter to young people who are not only coming to terms with something that is actually a pretty big thing to come to terms with, but who are doing so in conditions which are unimaginably hard - I shan't even try to summarise here, it's on the AKT website.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. It means that I don't get to come round and have a chat with you about things, but hey, we'll catch up another time!
