Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homeless charity. Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 16-25 year olds into a home and a job every year. Our award-winning helpline provides support to vulnerable young people across the country. We campaign to end youth homelessness by 2037.

Story

Sarah and Michelle's Big Night Out is not the typical type of night out that we usually enjoy  - so dont be fooled by the title.  No need for party dresses and high heels - instead we are opting for thermals and woolly hats.

We will be sleeping outside on the evening of November 8th in a paper sleeping bag (yes folks you heard it a PAPER sleeping bag) in support of Centrepoint.   We have checked the average temperatures and have prepared ourselves for the same  'minus 1 degree' that London faced at the same time last year.

For those of you who know Sarah's aversion to any kind of "tented accommodation" , (preferring of course the joy of a luxury hotel room), you need not fret.  There is no tent, just the paper sleeping bag!

John has reminded us of the tears in India when Sarah was faced with a 'sandy towel' and Pete's response was just "Have you thought this through, do you know how cold it is going to be?".  So glad to see we have some realistic supporters backing us.

We do appreciate that you probably get many requests for sponsorship, so any donation  - of what ever amount - would be really appreciated.     Please look down the back of the sofa if necessary, every pound counts.

Centrepoint help to give homeless young people a future.  More than 80,000 young people experience homelessness in the UK each year.  Centrepoint provides a safe place to live for more than 1,000 each year.  Your donation will help to increase this number.  Centrepoint do not just offer a place to stay, they also support young people to be independent and positive, with independent living and health programmes, life skills and learning opportunities.
