Story

We are more than glad you are on this page reading through our story so thank you so much for making thus far!

**********************What are we doing?************************

We are going to shave our heads live on Facebook on the night of Thursday the 7th and the hairdresser is going to be the talented, one-and-only Anna He! We are doing this to fundraise for Cambridge Development Initiative's summer projects: WaSH, Education, Entrepreneurship and Health. Further details on each project can be found on the website here: http://www.cambridgedevelopment.org/

*********************Why are we doing it?************************

We are both going to be in Tanzania from July to September with other volunteers from CDI and we are going to collaborate with the local volunteers from Kite Dar es Salaam (https://www.kitedsm.org/) on our respective projects. Vincent is working as a volunteer for the Entrepreneurship project and Billy is working as Deputy Director overseeing WaSH and Education projects.

****************What does your donation mean?************************

We greatly appreciate your contribution towards the cause and every penny counts!

Here is a break down of what the donation collectively means for CDI projects:

£35 - pays for one community hand washing training session (WaSH) or venue rental for community training sessions on health topics (Health).

£1500-pays for local technicians to install our new biodigester, which will provide eco-friendly fuel to the community (WaSH) or covers daily stipends and travel expenses the volunteers on the ground for the duration of two months (Health)

The proceedings will go to all four projects and hopefully the numbers above give you an idea how much impact we can make with your support.
