Birmingham Derby Charity Softball Tournament · 28 April 2012

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

On Saturday 28th April the Birmingham Bobcats Softball Club are hosting a charity softball tournament in aid of Birmingham Children's Hospital.  The tournament will feature sports teams from the Edgbaston area - ranging from cricket and tennis to ice hockey and bowling.  It will be held at Hallfield School Playing Fields from 10am to 6pm.

Softball is like Baseball and Rounders.  The teams include both male and female players and is suitable for everyone aged over 14 years.  It is a very sociable game that is very fun, easy to play and extremely glamorous!

The Birmingham Derby is going to be a very enjoyable day for all the family.  Not only will it raise money for a charity which is very important to the Bobcats, but it will also bring together the sporting community of Birmingham and help to promote the marginal game of softball to a wider audience.

Please help us to achieve these objectives by registering your team and/or contributing to BCH.  For further information please contact Kate (kpagesmith@hotmail.com)
