Hi Everybody
On the 23rd of June at 6.00am, after months of preperation the 3 of us set off on a sponsored cycle ride between St Georges Telford, and Barmouth Mid Wales, to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Enjoying perfect cycling weather and recieving enthusiastic support from a couple of ladies we arrived at our first main stop in Welshpool at 9.00am. Leaving Welshpool we headed towards Dolgellau, via the Dinas mountain pass(that was tough) over the top and then downhill all the way. From Dolgellau we cycled along an old railway track by the estuary towards Fairbourne. We then followed the railway line into Barmouth, crossed the estuary bridge(see photo) and arrived at Barmouth at 15.30pm. We were met by a large group of family and friends who greeted us with balloons, beer and commerative medals. So far the event as raised over £3500 in sponsorship, exceeding all our expectations. Our fundraising page will close soon, but there are still a couple of days left for last minute donations. Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
