Story
Dear Friends/Colleages/Associates,
We are writing to you today to ask for your support and donations, whether they be small or large, for a cause that is both close to our hearts and highly worthy. Our aim is to complete the Mazda Blenheim Palace Triathalon on the 5th June, bearing in mind we are all 'unseasoned athletes' for Macmillan Cancer Support (MCS).
Terminal illness effects many people and their families across the world. Thankfully there are trusts such as MCS who work tirelessly to give their support to all those affected. In particular, we are taking part in this event in memory of Georgina and James's Father, Robin McLean, who MCS wonderfully supported before he passed away from pancreatic cancer in 1996.
We have chosen no easy challenge. Those of you who know us well, we all like our food, good living and as mentioned before, would not consider ourselves seasoned athletes (apart from Seb apparently). After 3 months of training, which has been a painful experience we might add, we are ready to take on the challenge.
The challenge at the Palace includes a 750m swim in a freezing eel & rat infested lake, 20Km of cycling trying to avoid 1000 other cyclists and a gruelling 5Km finish, which some have found harder than others (James!)
Please dig deep and think of the pain we are enduring. We very much appreciate your support.
If you would like to join us on the day to watch us cross the line please see the link below for the details and directions for the event.
