Race Against Cancer Everytime (RACE)

Ride Against Cancer Everytime (RACE) · 31 August 2014
I'm Bob and together with my son Mark and friends Spencer and Rob, we have decided to cycle across the Highlands of Scotland. Not being content with that, we will then cycle from Scotland to Harrogate. A total of 500 miles. Did I mention we are doing it in one week?
Why, I hear you ask? Is it because I'm 60 this year? No.
The reason is to raise money for three worthy causes, Prostate Cancer UK, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Cancer Vaccine Institute.
4 years ago I was diagnosed with inoperable prostate cancer. Unfortunately, last year I received a hammer blow, the cancer had spread into my spine and lower back.
Whilst this is a huge set back, it has also made me reflect on the amazing treatment and support I have received to date, and has given me an opportunity to give something back.
So, enough of the doom and gloom check out our website at www.markfagan79.wix.com/race to see the challenge!
