Gold Challenge · 31 December 2012 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Us lab rats decided to get out of the lab and do some exercise for a very good cause! We are doing the GSK Gold Challenge which involves us covering 2012km between 12 of us before the opening of the 2012 Olympics this year. This can be done by walking, running cycling, rowing, swimming, canoeing, sailing, wheel chair or horse riding. This will definitely be a big challenge so i'm going to work very hard!

The money will go to Alzheimer's Society. This will fund important research that will help to improve the quality of life for people with dementia, by tackling questions related to the causes of dementia, investigating good practice in care and treatment and pursuing a cure. So please, please, please give generously! :)
