Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please be generous and help save the black rhino and our other conservation projects and sponsor us online.
For the first time Imogen, (aged 8),Olivia, (aged 10), and Robert, (aged a lot more), will be riding together to try and raise as much money as possible to help continue saving this rare and highly endangered species.
The John Aspinall Foundation has bred over 28 rhinos in Kent and rehabilitated five rhinos to protected areas in the wild. In 1997 a bull rhino was returned to South Africa where he has sired at least five offspring.
In 2004 two female rhinos were sent back to South Africa and both have successfully given birth to two healthy bull calves thus proving the sustainability of "The back to the wild black rhino programme"
In 2007 a further pair of rhinos were returned from Port Lympne Wild Animal Park to protected wilderness in Tanzania where they have been observed mating.
With your help this important conservation work can continue so please sponsor us as generously as you are able. Every penny counts.
