Story

Hush! Quiet!

Can you hear that?

Is it the rumble of distant thunder? The first, faint tremors of an earthquake?

No, it's the BPE Legal Eagles on a training run.

Eight members of staff from BPE Solicitors LLP will be running in the Bristol half Marathon on September 5th this year, to raise money for the firm's charity of the year - The Midlands Air Ambulance. We are running in two teams, the Legal Eagles, and the Legal Beagles.

Some call the Eagles the reserve team, others the also rans, but what we lack in fitness, experience, training, and natural athletic ability we don't quite make up for in enthusiasm and grit.

Captained by Sadie Fennell, BPE's credit controller, whose inspirational dedication to her training programme has inspired us to partake of almost no practise runs whatsoever, we are planning to complete the distance relying on a combination of dogged courage and energy-giving jelly babies.

, employment lawyer, and Scott Rowe, litigator, will both benefit from a lack of hair related wind resistance. So smoothly does Scott move through the air he has, during his training, even managed to outpace an angry swan. Venko Jablensky, also of the employment team, radiates quiet determination and may be the one to watch out for.

All novice runners, we are nonetheless determined to last the distance and complete the 13.1 mile course, and we hope to raise an embarrassingly large sum for the brilliant cause that is the Midland Air Ambulance charity. Please dig deep and sponsor us.
