Adonay's fundraiser for Da'aro Youth Project

Saucony London 10K 2024 · 14 July 2024 ·
In July, I'll be taking part in a 10km run through Central London to fundraise for Da'aro Youth Project.
This remarkable charity is dedicated to supporting young asylum seekers from the Horn of Africa, providing them with the assistance they need to rebuild their lives.
Your support will help for costs towards the weekly youth centre, known as Injera Club. It's a place where they feel a sense of belonging, find some respite, as well as enjoy a hot meal.
With continued government policy of 'hostile environment' and inadequate support for asylum seekers, Da'aro Youth Project continues to fill in the gaps to support our young people.
Our caseworkers work tirelessly to assist young asylum seekers, providing support with family reunification, housing, and education.
I have volunteered at the Injera Club for three years, joining as trustee last year.
As my parents and elder siblings came to this country as refugees, it has been moving to learn from young people about their dangerous journeys and challenges with assimilating to life in the UK.
With fundraising and further support, Da'aro Youth Project can continue to provide transformational support to asylum seekers.

Combining my two passions, Da'aro and running, thanks for your support!
