Help me fundraise for Shine Cancer Support

Shine supports adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s who have experienced a cancer diagnosis. Too old for children and teenage services but too young for traditional cancer support, we support the people who fall into a devastating cancer support gap.

Story

I'm running the Hackney Half Marathon this May and fundraising for Shine Cancer Support - a charity focused on supporting people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who have had a cancer diagnosis.

This charity means a lot to me. Last year, I took part in Shine's Reset Programme. This programme helped me process the impact that a cancer diagnosis had on every part of my life and provided an opportunity to connect with others who went through similar situations. We cried, and laughed (turns out, at some point we had all been told that eating *insert food / nutrient here* would help get rid of our cancer) over our shared experiences.

With Shine's support, I felt like I was finally able to start to move forward and reduce my self-blame and negative thoughts, and made some amazing friends along the way.

Any donation amount would be greatly appreciated and I know from first-hand experience that the funds will help the lives of others just like me. Shine hosts support groups and events, provides resources for cancer patients, and runs workshops for healthcare professionals.

Shine is run by people who have first-hand experience with cancer, and it's a small charity that heavily relies on donations, so your support will go a long way. Thank you so much!
