Bupa Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

The tagline is '2 weeks, 2 cities, 2 half marathons...' and thats exactly what it is! On Sunday 6th September 2009 i will be running the Bristol Half Marathon in my home town, and then heading up north to Newcastle to run the Great North Run on Sunday 20th September 2009.

UPDATE: Bristol Half Marathon finished in 1:52:23, which beats my previous personal best, but still slightly disappointed, so i will be going 'balls out the bath' to beat it again at the Great North Run on Sunday 20th September!

Thank you to all those who have donated generously so far, and thank you in advance to all those who will be donating in the coming days/weeks.

UPDATE: Great North Run in Newcastle finished in 1:51:12, beating my time 2 weeks ago but just over a minute! Weather was scorching, but a great atmosphere none the less with over 54,000 other people running, and i only lost to Gordon Ramsay but 4 seconds :( I am still £140.00 short of my fundraising goal, and I would ideally love to reach that magic £500.00 mark, so if you can spare just a little money i'd be very grateful, and will never bother you again!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: NSPCC gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

I know its very cliche, but every little helps, whether you can donate £1 or £10 i'd be very grateful, as will the NSPCC.

Cheers
