Running the London Marathon has always been a dream of mine.
This year after running half the distance supporting a friend who was running it virtually I thought I would put my name in to the ballot not believing that I would get a place. I’m sure most that know me will vouch that this is way outside my comfort zone of my usual 5km or 10km distances that I would normally do.

I’ve decided to run this event on behalf of Alzheimer’s Society. This is a charity me and my family hold very close to our hearts as we’ve had a first-hand experience of how this untreatable condition can affect our loved ones.

Every three minutes, someone develops dementia. We can beat it, but we can’t do it alone. Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted in their community. Every penny you donate is making sure we can be there for people affected by dementia.
