On 20 May 2011 I left Land's End for John O'Groats and arrived there on 18 June covering over 1200 miles alone, camping and without support. I had a wonderful trip, where every morning I looked forward to beautiful scenery rich with new experiences.
The real credit goes to all of you who entered into a partnership with me. That allowed me to indulge in a great adventure whilst you converted my cycling into money for the kids at a new Children's Hospice in St Austell. To date a fantastic total of almost £4200 has been reached (with more promised). I can't really express my gratitude and appreciation to you all but it raises hair on the back of my neck!
The Children's Hospice South West have two hospices where parents and children can be cared for and supported. A safe haven, where in the midst of heartache and suffering it's okay to laugh and to cry.
Now, they're building a new hospice in St Austell to also serve Plymouth, so that children and their families may locally, benefit from the hospice's expertise.
