Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This October (2018), I am going to Nkwanta, Ghana with 15 other girls from my school (TWGGS) to teach in a local primary school. Alongside preparing for this trip, our group is trying to raise as much money for the Ghana Education Project as possible.

The Ghana Education Project was set up by ex TWGGS teacher Gill Norris MBE and helps further women's education, which we, in England, are so fortunate to receive so easily. Their flagship project is the Kyabobo Girls' School in Nkwanta. Over 350 pupils are enrolled  in the school 5 years from its opening, with 500 girls expected by the end of 2018. To offer free, high quality education, GEP relies on generous donations.

To raise money for GEP, the 16 of us are walking from Brighton Pier to Eastbourne Pier on the 8th or 9th September (weather depending). The 30 mile walk will take us approximately 12 hours, testing our athleticism!

It costs just over £100 to educate a girl at Kyabobo for a whole year. By donating even just a small amount, you are helping to educate the women of the future.

As Benjamin Franklin once said, "An investment in knowledge pays the best interest".
