Our experienced team of doctors, nutritionists, counsellors and therapists help people feel better in mind, body and spirit. From eating well and keeping active, to managing emotions and staying connected to the things we love.

Story

Bristol Cancer Help Centre is the leading UK charity which has pioneered and specialises in the Bristol Approach to cancer care. The Bristol Approach combines a unique range of physical, emotional and spiritual support. Developed by doctors, nurses, therapists and people with cancer, the Approach uses a range of complementary therapies and self-help techniques including practical advice on nutrition, to help people to change the way they live with cancer, and to deal with the specific problems and challenges a cancer diagnosis brings.

On the 9th-11th September 2005, we will be supporting the Centre by entering one of its events called the 'Champagne Run'. The Champagne Run is a brand new and unique challenge to Bristol Cancer Help Centre and it will apparently test our driving and navigation skills to the limit!

The event will start at Ashton Court in Bristol and the challenge will be to navigate our way to the finishing line at the Moët & Chandon Champagne House at Epernay in France. However, to just drive between the two cities along a motorway would be no fun. We will have to navigate our way through a series of checkpoints both here in the UK and in France before our arrival in Epernay. Along the way we will need to answer questions at each checkpoint and then work out where the next checkpoint will be. The team to complete the challenge with the least mileage clocked up will be the winners.

This event is also supported by the Classic Car Club, Brilliant Weekends, and Hotel du Vin, Bristol.

Our team is hoping to raise at least £1000 in sponsorship. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Bristol Cancer Help Centre will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor us now! Many thanks for your support. Sophie, Henry, Will and Bex http://www.bristolcancerhelp.org
