Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On 29 April 2009 I go to Santander in northern Spain, to do a 650km cycle ride to Santiago de Compostela, using pedal power to help me over and through the mountains of the Picos de Europa.
Since giving up work on health grounds just over a year ago, I have been free to devote myself to fundraising in aid of the Parkinson’s Disease Society, in particular, raising funds for the Society’s research projects. In 2006, I took part in a sponsored trek across Corsica, before last year undertaking the gruelling cycle ride fromLand’s End to John O’Groats.
This year’s journey will pose very different challenges, but I am determined to raise as much money as I can for Parkinson’s research through sponsorship of this latest challenge. Every penny counts in our fight against Parkinson’s - and to make progress towards my ultimate goal, to be able to say one day: “I used to have Parkinson’s.”
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Parkinson's Disease Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
