Story
Jamie Marshall is a much missed friend and colleague of members of staff at the Schools, Colleges and Community Outreach department at Nottingham Trent University. Sadly last year he lost his battle with cancer aged 39 and so we wanted to celebrate his life by organising a charity walk, and raise some money for much needed cancer research to boot!
So, as Jamie would have been 40 this year there will be 40 of us taking part in a sponsored walk to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Jamie took part in a Coast to Coast bike ride with two SCCO colleagues in 2004 from Workington to Tynemouth covering the 140 miles in three days, and so we thought we would re-create this, but on treadmills! Therefore to make this a real challenge the 40 volunteers will be walking and running the same distance on 4 treadmills, for 10 hours, on Wednesday 13th September 2017.
Therefore if you could make a donation, this would be very much appreciated.
SCCO Colleagues and other NTU colleagues past or present who worked with Jamie, taking part in this challenge are:
Nicola O'Brien, Andy Coppins, Anisa Rehman, Laura Hope, Danielle Sample, Tash Neale, Lucy Adams, Laura Bates, Diane Swift, Esther Triffit, Deborah Hinds, Alex Holland-Leavens, Lucy Judd, Zoe Hollingsworth, Steve Barton, Nasser Latif, Stacey Trainer, Martin Webster, Fliss Miller, Sarah Hindmarsh, Phil Avery, Hannah Charlton, Amber Page, Lesley Harte, Claire Russell, Emma Hynd, Becky Edwards, Ed Foster, David Woolley, Rowan Triffit, Julian Robertson, Leah Cashill, Martin Bancroft, Paul Molineaux, Caroline Day, Jo Wheatcroft, Kath Hare, Mike Kerrigan, Kirsty Kelly-Lewin, Janet Northover & Pam Ellis
Thank you for all your support.
