Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

On Sunday 19th March, I will be attempting to complete my first half marathon in Coventry.

This is a massive task for me but work mates suggested it and I'm too competitive to turn it down. The main objective is to raise much needed funds for two charities. At work, my colleagues and I will be collectively raising money for a great local Rugby charity, Hill Street Youth and Community Centre.

However, on a personal level I will be aiming to raise money for the MS Society. Back in 2011, my mum was diagnosed with MS or Multiple Sclerosis. MS is a neurological condition. That means it affects your nerves. It's caused when your immune system isn’t working properly. MS affects everyone with the condition differently. For my mum it makes day to day tasks that much harder and sometimes impossible but she still goes on without any fuss. So the least I can do is run 13.1 miles and raise some cash.

All funds raised for the MS Society will go towards supporting research, campaigning for change, giving support and investing in MS specialists.
