Cambridge Water is entering two teams for the 17th annual Chariots of Fire Charity Marathon, the largest charity event in Cambridgeshire, which takes place on Sunday, 21 September.

The charity relay race, which follows in the footsteps of the film 'Chariots of Fire', tracks a scenic 1.7 mile course through Cambridge City Centre, Trinity, Clare and King's colleges, and along the backs.

This year the race is being held in support of two worthy local charities:

Red Balloon - Cambridge provides a safe learning environment for children in the local community who are suffering from the severe effects of bullying (http://redballoonlearner.co.uk).

Romsey Mill provides vital opportunities for disadvantaged young people and families in and around Cambridge (http://www.romseymill.org).

We are supporting Red Balloon through Justgiving.

Our two teams are:

Running Water - a 'veteran' (ie. 40+) all male team whose age belies youthful determination.

Cambridge Water Babes - an all female team whose youth belies slightly less determination in the most part...
