Heart Month 2026: 10,000 Step Challenge for HEART UK
Step up for your heart health
This February, we’re inviting everyone to take simple steps towards a healthier future.
Join HEART UK’s 10,000 Step Challenge and commit to walking 10,000 steps every day throughout February. Every step helps raise awareness and vital funds to prevent heart disease, strokes and vascular dementia caused by high cholesterol.
“Small daily steps can lead to big changes — for your heart, your health, and the lives you’ll help protect.”

Your fundraising helps HEART UK to:
- Support individuals and families with accurate and reliable information through our expert Helpline.
- Train healthcare professionals to improve early diagnosis, treatment and care.
- Educate the public and employees about the risks of high cholesterol and the importance of heart health.
- Advocate for policy change and prevention so that more lives can be saved.

Together, we can make a difference
There are over 7.6 million people living with cardiovascular disease in the UK – more than 4 million men and 3.6 million women. Each year, around 49,000 people under the age of 75 die from heart and circulatory diseases. These conditions are often preventable with early diagnosis, the right lifestyle choices, and effective treatment.
Together, we can take simple steps towards a healthier future.
Every step you take helps protect more hearts across the UK.
