Since 2009, Play Action International has been transforming childhoods through the power of play. From our roots in Uganda to our growing work across Africa and Europe, we’ve supported over 650,000 children to play, learn, and thrive.

Each year, our incredible volunteers travel from the UK to Kenya and Uganda, working hand-in-hand with local communities to build vibrant, lasting playgrounds in under-resourced schools.

Every playground we build is designed to last at least 10 years, reaching over 10,000 children in its lifetime. That’s joy, learning, and opportunity - multiplied, year after year.

This Summer's Mission

Right now, our volunteer teams are building 10 new playgrounds in rural schools in Kenya and Uganda. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, construction is already underway - but we’re not stopping there.

As children return to school this September, we’re inviting you - our amazing community of alumni, donors, and supporters - to help us amplify the impact of this incredible work.

- Train teachers in inclusive, play-based learning approaches

- Work with parents and local communities to reinforce the importance of education and play for children's development and well-being.

- Provide more materials and resources to make each playground even more inclusive, creative, and long-lasting
