Story

Simply choose the cause thats closest to your heart and make a donation to show your support this Christmas.

You can do this by clicking on the donate button above. Alternatively, you can call us on 028 9068 0745 to speak to us about a monthly donation where you can support us throughout 2020 by Direct Debit.

We are your local cancer research charity. We fund targeted cancer research at Queen's University Belfast. Your donation today will allow us to continue our research into 2020 and beyond.

In 2018, we held over 4,300 counselling sessions for local people left devastated by cancer. Demand is increasing and we need your support this Christmas to ensure we can provide this vital service in 2020

Our Family Support Service helps families cope with the disruption to ordinary family life and minimises the long-term impact on childrens emotional well-being when a mum, dad or close family member has cancer. Your donation will mean that more children will have the support they desperately need

We believe that it helps to talk especially when it comes to concerns about cancer. We are the only local cancer charity to provide a free cancer support Nurseline for anyone who has concerns about cancer. Our nurses received over 680 calls in 2018 but we need your support to make sure no call goes unanswered in 2020.

We provide a free specialist fitting service in 9 locations around Northern Ireland to help women find the right bras and swimwear after surgery and treatment for breast cancer. In 2018, we helped over 659 people feel more comfortable after life changing surgery

We support children through and after their cancer treatment. In 2018, our art therapy sessions helped over 717 local people deal with their fear, anxiety, stress and depression because of cancer.

We work in primary schools to improve the health of our children. We reach around 70,000 pupils across Northern Ireland each year covering topics such as nutrition, physical activity, care in the sun and stopping smoking.

We help people who cant travel independently to cancer treatment appointments. In 2018, we provided over 930 return journeys for local people so they could get to their oncology appointments on time and to receive the care they need.

We provide writing groups which give local cancer patients the opportunity to write and speak about their cancer experiences. Writing offers a safe place to unearth and express what you think and feel when affected by cancer.

We provide health checks directly to local workplaces and communities and help local people lower their cancer risk and increase awareness of cancer symptoms and screening programmes.

We work with politicians and decision-makers to develop legislation that helps us look after our own health; putting the well-being of people in Northern Ireland first.

We are proud to be celebrating 50 years working to reduce the impact of cancer on local peoples lives. We provide care and support services, offer a range of cancer prevention programmes, fund research and campaign for better health policy to protect our community and its future.
