Gympanzees 12 Days of Kitmas 7

Campaign by Gympanzees

This Kitmas, we’re featuring the Matrix Recumbent Bike, a low-impact, supportive cycle we hope to bring to our future centre. It could help disabled children and young people build strength, stamina and confidence through gentle, accessible movement.

Gympanzees 12 Days of Kitmas · 1 December 2025 to 13 December 2025 ·

Our mission at Gympanzees is to enable every child and young person with a disability to access regular play, exercise and friendship, to improve their physical and mental health and well-being, and to take their families out of isolation.

Story

In our future Gympanzees Centre, a young person may settle comfortably onto the Matrix Recumbent Bike, a cycle designed with ergonomic support and stability. Seated safely with full back and seat support, they begin to pedal at their own pace. With each turn, muscles engage, endurance builds and confidence grows.

For many disabled children and young people, opportunities for safe, low-impact cardio are rare. The Recumbent Bike could offer a welcoming way for them to move, strengthen and feel freer, turning exercise into empowerment, joy and belonging in a space created just for them.

When you donate to Gympanzees, through this website or in other ways, you are supporting us to ensure that every disabled child and young person in the UK can enjoy a life filled with exercise, play and friendship.

Our campaigns will highlight specific areas of Gympanzees work, but these are just some of the many ways Gympanzees supports disabled children and young people. Donations will be treated as unrestricted and will be used to fund our work to deliver multiple fully inclusive leisure facilities that are easily accessible for disabled children, young people and their families, cover our Lending Library costs, and help to fund Gympanzees general support and running costs.
