Story
We live in one of Scotland's most multiple deprived communities, Alloa in Clackmannanshire...but!... we are all working hard, together, to make things better for local children, for families, and all.
Abby (name changed) is 7 years old, she says "... I struggle with anxiety, with talking with other children and I feel scared of everything". Yet coming to Resonate Together, utilising the creative process in a space of kindness, trust and belief in each other, is making a deep difference to Abby.
"I am really good at picking colours, I put colours together and it just looks great! Maybe I could be a designer when I get older".
Our Creative Environments course goes beyond the focus on the individual and makes the space around us work for our benefit, it helps nurture our energy. This takes the singular focus, the pressure, away from the child and helps them experience being part of a wider picture. They are contributing to, receiving from and creating their world. The discovery of hidden talents, of going on a voyage of personal discovery, on their terms, is truly celebrated and their uniqueness flourishes!
After 14 years of running creative activity for children, after researching the effects of the environment we work in and the external conditions required to help each one of us, Resonate Together has designed this course to enable children to be children; to connect with the art of finding solutions and to grow their wellbeing and confidence.
By donating to our sponsored walk today, you are helping the first pilot of this course to be run for 12 local children.
All our team members, Alana, Iain, Ella, Alisha, Eunice and Angela are paying all their own expenses and have been in training to ensure we can make the full 18 miles - we can do it!
So work with us and share your sparkle, thank you.
