The motor coach faces a real possibility of being scrapped if a new home can't be found.

Relocating 1302's motor coach to the Spa Valley Railway is a natural fit, as these Oxted Units were built for this line. There are only 3 remaining in existence and of course we have 1 in unit 1317.

Spares are becoming harder and harder to obtain, having another motor coach gives us unlimited spares and will allow for components to be overhauled before failure in the main unit, and therefore reducing down time for 1317.
