Story
Help 16th Wyre Forest Scouts Get on the Road!
We’re fundraising to buy our very own lightweight minibus so that more young people in the Wyre Forest can experience the adventure, friendship, and life skills that Scouting offers.
Our goal is to raise £60,000 to purchase a lightweight 17-seater minibus, which will open up so many opportunities for our group and the wider community.
🚐 Why We Need a Minibus
Transport is one of our biggest challenges. Hiring minibuses for camps, hikes, and community events adds significant costs — and sometimes stops young people from being able to take part.
By owning our own minibus, we’ll be able to:
Offer more trips and experiences to local young people;
Reduce costs for families, making Scouting more accessible to everyone;
Support other youth and community groups by making the bus available for shared use; and
Provide reliable, flexible transport for everything from local projects to national camps.
💚 Who Benefits
The 16th Wyre Forest Scout Group supports young people aged 6–18 from across the Wyre Forest area. We help them develop skills for life — teamwork, confidence, leadership, and resilience — through outdoor adventures and community service.
This minibus won’t just benefit our Scouts; it will also be available for other local youth and community organisations, making it a shared resource that helps many more people.
💜 How You Can Help
Every donation — large or small — will bring us closer to our goal.
You can:
Donate directly via this page;
Share our fundraiser with friends, family, and colleagues;
Or even sponsor a section of the bus — we’re offering local businesses the chance to feature their logo on the vehicle as a lasting thank you for their support. Please contact us to discuss.
🙌 Together, We Can Make a Lasting Difference
With your help, we can ensure that cost and transport are never barriers to adventure. Let’s get our Scouts — and the whole community — on the road to new experiences!
Thank you for your support,
The Leaders and Young People of 16th Wyre Forest Scout Group
